Paintball Show will be the first monthly TV program entirely dedicated to the fast-growing sport of paintball. These 26-minute features will focus on all aspects of paintball, from tech tips, to insider player info and coverage of the world’s top paintball league like Europe’s Millennium circuit. You’ll learn ¬everything you need to know about the rules, the strategies, the key players, the gear, and of course… the fans, who come by the thousands to cheer on their favorite teams.

This show will be broadcast on Eurosport 2, Eurosport Asia and Pacific, and eurosport.com. Eurosport is the leader in European sports coverage, accessible in 20 languages and broadcast to 112 million homes—that’s over 240 million viewers in 59 countries.

TEAM DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME BY MAPAAC

The Objective

The programme is aimed at

a. developing new team

b. providing new team with a structured and comprehensive training and experience exposure to first-tiered tournament

c. assisting new team with a long term (one year) planning as sustaining has been one of the problem of new teams development


The Package

The package offered inclusive of the following,

a. 14 training session at MAPAAC handled by trainer(s) appointed by MAPAAC throughout the year. The trainer ratio is 1:7, ie. one trainer to a team

b. In each training session, besides a trainer, the team shall also be equipped with the necessary equipment and 2 boxes of paintball palets (2,000 rounds per box).

c. The team shall be competing in all 5 rounds of The Malaysian National Paintball League (MY-NPL) 4th cycle 2009. The package is inclusive of Registration Fee and the players’ ID Cards as well.

d. In each round of MY-NPL 2009, the team shall be supplied with 3 boxes of paintball palets.

e. The team shall consist of 7 players and shall be equipped with 7 facemask and 5 harness come with 4 pods in each harness

f. We shall be providing the team with periodically Team Training Progress Report Card in order to assess and evaluate the individual and team development

The Training

The training shall be conducted throughout the year in the following timetable,

January – 2 sessions (Before MY-NPL Rd 1)
February – 1 session (Before MY-NPL Rd 2)
March – 2 sessions (MY-NPL Rd 2 Month)
April – 1 session (After MY-NPL)
May – 2 sessions (Before MY-NPL Rd 3)
June – 1 session (Before MY-NPL Rd 3)
July – 2 sessions (Before MY-NPL Rd 4)
August – 1 session (After MY-NPL Rd 4)
October – 2 sessions (Before My-NPL Rd 5)

The training shall be conducted as per the syllabus developed by MAPAAC. The trainees shall also be exposed to the MY-NPL 2009 Rulebook. Each training session shall last for a minimum period of 4 hours. All training shall be conducted at MAPAAC PJ. The training could be conducted at anytime any day of the week.

THE COST

The cost of the whole package is RM15,000.00 (Ringgit Malaysia Fifteen Thousand Only)

MY-NPL'08 Event5 Press Release

Pusingan Kelima “The Grand Finale” Kejohanan Liga Paintball Kebangsaan Malaysia (MY-NPL) 2008 akan berlangsung pada 1 dan 2 November 2008 bertempat di Akademi Paintbal Malaysia, Kompleks Sukan Astaka, Jalan Utara, Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan. Kejohanan paintball yang terulung dan terunggul di Malaysia kini yang menghimpunkan pasukan-pasukan terbaik dari seluruh pelusuk tanahair, mendapat sokongan sepenuhnya Kementerian Belia dan Sukan Malaysia dan Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya (MBPJ). Menteri Belia dan Sukan Malaysia, Yang Berhormat Dato’ Ismail Sabri Bin Yaakob telah sudi untuk hadir menyempurnakan Majlis Perasmian Penutup dan Perasmian Hadiah yang dijadualkan akan berlangsung pada Hari Ahad, 2 November 2008 bermula dari jam 4.30 petang.

Pusingan Keempat MY-NPL 2008 telah diadakan pada 2 dan 3 Ogos 2008 yang lalu bertempat di Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall, Banda Hilir, Bandaraya Melaka Bersejarah dimana sebanyak 60 buah pasukan telah turut serta. Di dalam Divisyen 1, Pasukan X-PURSUIT dari Pulau Pinang telah membuat kejutan dengan muncul sebagai juara dengan menewaskan Pasukan NEMESIS LEGION di perlawanan akhir. Pasukan BANZAAI di tempat ketiga dan Pasukan ARMADA, untuk pertama kalinya tahun ini berada di podium di tempat keempat. Sebanyak lapan (8) pasukan telah bertanding di dalam Divisyen 1.

Bagaimanapun kejayaan Pasukan NEMESIS LEGION untuk muncul sebagai Naib Juara untuk kali ketiga tahun ini telah menjaminkan mereka, secara matematik, untuk muncul sebagai Juara Keseluruhan Divisyen 1 bagi tahun 2008 ini. TAHNIAH NEMESIS LEGION! Ini merupakan kejayaan untuk kali kedua berturut-turut Pasukan Nemesis Legion muncul sebagai juara keseluruhan setelah menjadi Juara Keseluruhan Divisyen 2 pada musim 2007 yang lalu. Untuk makluman, untuk musim 2009 akan datang ini, pertandingan untuk Divisyen 1 akan dijalankan secara format tujuh orang sepasukan (seven-man) sepertimana yang dipersetujui oleh pasukan-pasukan yang bertanding dalam mesyuarat khas yang diadakan di Melaka.

Di dalam Divsyen 2 pula, Pasukan RAIDERS telah melakukan kejutan dengan melayakkkan diri ke perlawanan akhir setelah menewaskan Pasukan dari Negeri Johor Darul Takzim, NOMERCY dalam perlawanan separuh akhir. Bagaimanapun mereka telah dikecewakan oleh Pasukan BALLBUSTERS dalam perlawanan akhir, yang telah menewaskan Pasukan RAINFOREST 7 TIGERS dalam satu lagi perlawanan separuh akhir. Sebanyak 7 buah pasukan telah mengambil bahagian dalam Divisyen 2 Pusingan Keempat ini.

Kejayaan Pasukan BALLBUSTERS ini telah membolehkan mereka mendahului Pasukan NOMERCY dalam pungutan mata keseluruhan Divisyen 2, mengumpul sebanyak 190 mata, sementara Pasukan NOMERCY mengumpul 185 mata. Kelebihan 5 mata ini sudah pasti akan menjanjikan persaingan sengit dalam pertarungan penentuan Juara Keseluruhan Divisyen 2 dalam kejohanan Pusingan Kelima ini kelak.

Di dalam Divisyen 3 Pusingan Keempat yang lepas, Pasukan OSCAR LEGIO-X telah meraih kejayaan kejuaraan kedua mereka sepanjang musim ini menewaskan Pasukan RONIN LUNACY yang juga mencipta kejutan layak ke perlawanan akhir untuk kali kedua berturut-turut sepanjang musim ini. Sebanyak 16 buha pasukan telah mengambil bahagian dalam persaingan Divisyen 3 Pusingan Kelima ini.

Bagaimanapun persembahan konsisten sepanjang tahun Pasukan COBRA MECENARIES untuk berada di kelompok empat pasukan terbaik telah melonjakkan mereka untuk pertama kalinya mengungguli kedudukan mata keseluruhan MY-NPL 2008, mengumpul sebanyak 175 mata, mendahului Pasukan dari Kuantan Pahang Darul Makmur, Pasukan SUNSHIRO, yang sekadar mampu berada di tangga keempat pada Pusingan Keempat yang lalu, dengan 1 mata. Persaingan Pasukan-pasukan OSCAR LEGIO-X di tempat ketiga dengan 166 mata dan RONIN LUNACY dengan 161 mata tidak boleh dipandang sepi. Sudah pastinya Pusingan Kelima nanti akan menjanjikan pertandingan dari pasukan-pasukan ini dalam perebutan merebut Juara Malaysia bagi Divisyen 3.




Di dalam Divisyen 4, Pauskan TWISTER telah berjaya mengenepikan cabaran Pasukan BLACKHEART SHOOTERS untuk merangkul kejuaraan sementara Pasukan SHOCKWAVE di tempat ketiga dan Pasukan dari Terengganu Darul Iman, CRAZY HUNTERS di tempat keempat dalam penyertaan sulung mereka. Sebanyak 29 buah pasukan telah mengambil dalam Pusingan Keempat ini. Sudah pastinya pasukan-pasukan ini akan berada di Pusingan Kelima nanti untuk merebut kejuaraan Divisyen 4.

Kemeriahan kejohanan akan bermula pada hari Jumaat, 31 Oktober 2008 bermula jam 3.00 petang dimana para peserta akan mula menjalani proses pemeriksaan gelanggang yang dikenali dengan “WALK THE FILEDS”. Pada masa yang sama Klinik Sukan Paintball untuk pasukan-pasukan dalam Divisyen 4 akan turut diadakan yang akan dikendalikan oleh para jurulatih dari Akademi Paintball Malaysia (MAPAAC). Mesyuarat Ketua-ketua Pasukan akan diadakan pada sebelah malam bermula jam 8.00 malam hari yang sama bertempat di venue kejohanan. Kejohanan akan bermula pada hari Sabtu, 1 November 2008 seawal jam 8.00 pagi, yang akan menyaksikan persaingan Pusingan Awal yang melibatkan pasukan-pasukan dalam semua Divisyen membuka tirai kehangatan kejohanan.

Di hari kedua kejohanan, yakni Ahad, 2 November 2008, perlawanan-perlawanan Pusingan Kalahmati Peringkat Suku Akhir dan seterusnya akan diadakan. Disamping itu juga Kejohanan Divisyen Khas yang melibatkan pasukan-pasukan dari kalangan para kakitangan, para selebriti dan para peminat Radio Sinar.FM dan X-Fresh.FM serta Kumpulan Karangkraf akan menghiasi atucara Hari Kedua ini kelak. Adalah dijangkakan sebanyak 30 buah pasukan akan berentap dalam Divisyen Khas ini. Perlawanan Akhir akan untuk semua Divisyen dijangkakan akan bermula pada jam 5.00 petang.

Rather than head to the pub after a week’s hard slog over a computer, consider a relaxing game of flag capture under heavy fire. We are not referring to army camp training here, but the fine sport-cum-art of paintball.

Paintball’s heady and unlikely mix of war and fun appeal to grown-ups all over the planet. Rambo wannabes armed with a paintball gun (called “markers”) and protected by a heavy-duty face mask compete in a series of commando games that require skill, dexterity, sneakiness and the sort of shooting expected of James Bond.

“Sport speed paintball gives me a challenge I can’t describe in words. It’s an adrenaline rush,” says Malaysian National Paintball League’s president Ananda Y.P. Wong.

“It’s also about making friends,” MY-NPL’s referee Mohd Ezmy Mohd Salleh aka Bear adds.

The events come in two forms: elimination games for individual and team players where the object is to clear the field or kill a marked target, and capture- and-hold games where opposing groups try to capture the other team’s flag or hill while protecting their own.

The games could be simple

five-minute matches on fields littered with barrels, fences and other paraphernalia you can use as ambush spots or to hide from enemy fire. Or they could be full-day field exercises in woods and fields with bunkers where everyone goes all out with markers as well as paint bombs and mines. There are even commercial paintball parks that have specially built indoor and outdoor courses designed to look like battleships, city ghettos or Amazonian jungles.

Being whacked by a paintball can hurt, so opt for lightly padded clothing if you bruise easily.

If your friends are hesitant to give paintball a shot, approach the boss. Paintball is now the “in” thing with corporate training groups who think of their boardrooms as battlefields. Highlight tactics, strategy and team fostering elements and revel in the idea of seeing the top honchos covered in paint!

Best day and nice windy night with a nice selection of date, at 8pm Wan and Noreen are officially husband and wife. Welcome to the club.
Wan wears white baju melayu teluk belanga (style johor) and Noreen wears a nice and simple white+cream songket. Pengapit is Pot (Raskal) and Shenaz (Ex Tornado angel) “InsyaAllah akan di satukan tak lama lagi”. Both of them wear green together.
The only people that I know on that night are only my husband A’sim, Aini, Pot and Shenaz. The rest cant make it because obviously on that date people berebut nak kawin kan. But as long as things goes well, Alhamdulillah then.

On that night I can see most of the friends wearing nice and beautiful dress and suit. Cantik and handsome ok!. It was a garden+English concept from what they have arranged. The pelamin were full of blossoms of fresh flowers that can be smell form far away (ye la kami dok kat paling belakang kan).

Wan wears a nice black suit with a white shirt and Noreen with a sweet white dress. And again the pengapit is Pot and Shenaz. It was a simple wedding yet everyone enjoyed. For the first ever time I attend a malay wedding that serve a Chinese course food. Gila best!!!!... It’s been a long time for some of us din eat the Chinese course. People around my table are Boss (Bandit), Kak Rock, Raihan, Azam(Banzaai), Dyana (Hbbz), Aj(Raskal), Asim (Banzaai), Mas (Ballbusters, Eady (Demonz Red). From those name you can imagine how rakusnya the way we eat kan?. Letak je habis. Tak senonoh langsung!. Rugi betul for those who din come. Hahahahah
Most of our time there, we spend it by posing at the cameras. Sampai naik penat la senyum. We laugh like nobody cares and we chat like nobody business. When the function is over, we met more paintballers especially team Outrecs and Spy. All of them wears black suit as well. Handsome maa…
Met Hawa (spy), she said that insyallah after puasa she and Tajul (spy) will get engaged!! Wow!! And she just came back from Melbourne after completing her MBA (Master of Business Admin). Congratulation girls!!!

STORY & RANKING FOR MY-NPL'08 EVENT 4, DATARAN PAHLAWAN, MALACCA

NPL Melaka 2008

The fourth leg of NPL Melaka kicks off to a great start. It was a great venue that coincides with great event that was being held in the historical state. I would say thumbs up for the organiser to be able to get the most excellent pitch ever held in the books of NPL event history.

This time around saw 8 teams competing in the Division 1. Banzaai which managed to get 4th place during last leg, strives to improve to a better podium finish. Consistency remains the key for each team, who all has one objective in mind; to be on top.

During the preliminary round, Banzaai managed to win 3 out of 8 games, and placed 7th in the preliminary standing. This placing puts Banzaai to pit against the 2nd best performing team of the preliminary round, Delta Rovers. Macdev Ronin performed very well in preliminary and was among the favourite to win the leg. Other notable performances came from team Wolverinez and X-Pursuit, whose hard work and practices on weekends prior to this leg seems to materialise very well during the preliminary rounds.

Quarterfinals on the second day saw a significant turnaround for most of the teams. Biggest upset of the day saw the defeat of Macdev Ronin against team Armada. Banzaai managed to hold off against the aggressiveness of team Delta Rovers and booked a place in Semifinal. In the end, the semifinals standings mostly consist of underdogs, X-Pursuit, Armada, Banzaai and, the most consistent, Nemesis.

Semifinals came as expected. Although, Banzaai managed to put a good fight but the team’s path to final was beaten off by Nemesis. And X-Pursuit, aggressive attacking strategy eliminated the hopeful team Armada.

The final games were held off rather quickly by the organiser. Team Nemesis was beaten by the advancing team X-Pursuit. The team who came all the way from Penang were overjoyed by the victory and saw themselves for the first time this year a podium finish with the top prize. Banzaai secured the 3rd spot and Armada placed 4th.Overall, it was a very enjoyable event with the best pitch ever for the players. We are hoping the organiser could secure the same kind of pitch being used in Malacca for NPL events in the future. With a good infrastructure, we could improve the competency of each teams.

MY-NPL'08 - Event 4, Dataran Pahlawan, Malacca

The Malaysian National Paintball League (MY-NPL) & Tactical Action are pleased to announce the opening of team registration for the fourth event of the 2008 MY-NPL. Registration is now open for all Teams. For more information on registration details, please read below.





This is the second visit by MY-NPL to the historical ground of Malacca. Special thanks to Youth & Sports Deparment of Malacca (JBS Melaka), our city council Majlis Bandaraya Melaka Bersejarah (MBMB) & our venue provider/partner Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall (Hatten Group), for a opportunity to bring MY-NPL to Malacca the historical city.






Team Registration:
No over the phone confirmation of registrations. All entries must be paid through online or cheque only. Registration must be submited 5days before the event date. Late entries will not be entertain. Changes in team rosters are allowed but need to send to MY-NPL HQ for Malaysian PaintBall Players' Council (MPPC) approval.

Closing Date: 28th July 2008.

MY-NPL HQ & Nemesis PaintBall Club are pleased to announce venue & date and division, prizes & fees for the MY-NPL'08 Super7. For more information on registration details, please read below.

Team Registration:
No over the phone confirmation of registrations. All entries must be paid through online or cheque only. Registration must be submited on/before 27th August 2008.

Each team will consists of ten (10) active players on their roster and shall field a maximum of seven (7) players in every game.

Open Division (OP)
Open to all teams in Malaysia & Asian region.
Electronic markers with semi auto/NPPL mode only/allowed.
Not more than 10 active players in the roster.

Prizes:
Champion : RM9,000.00 cash + medals + Cup
Runners-up : RM4,500.00 cash + medals
2nd Runner-up : RM2,000.00 cash + medals
Fourth Place : medals only

Open Division Registration Fees: RM600.00

Amature Division (AM)
Open to all teams in Malaysia & Asian region.
Maximum of two (2) D1 players are allowed in AM roster.
